Who you're dealing with

Lumendot is a business run by Deej Potter as an Australian sole trader. "I" and "me" mean Lumendot; "you" means the person or business ordering the work.

These terms apply to every job unless your quote says otherwise. Nothing in them limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Quotes and prices

Prices on this site are in Australian dollars. Each job starts with a written quote by email. The quoted price is fixed for what the quote describes; anything you add later is quoted separately before I do it.

Quotes are valid for 30 days.

Payment

Websites and larger jobs: 50% deposit to start, the balance before launch or handover. Smaller jobs may be paid in full up front. Payment is by a secure Stripe link or bank transfer.

Domains, hosting, plugins and other third-party services are charged at cost unless the quote includes them.

What I need from you

Accurate business details, the content you want used, and replies to questions within a reasonable time. Turnaround times start when I have your deposit and everything the job needs, and they pause while I wait on you.

You confirm you have the right to use any text, images, logos and files you send me.

AI tools

I use AI tools to help draft content, code and designs. I review all work before delivery. You're responsible for checking that content about your business is accurate before it goes live, and you approve it before launch. I don't put your passwords or private customer data into AI tools.

Changes

Website packages include two rounds of changes by email. Extra rounds are $60 each. A change that alters the scope, such as more pages or new features, is quoted as an add-on.

Ownership

Once you've paid in full, you own the finished site content, designs and model files made for you, and your domain is registered in your name. I keep ownership of my own reusable templates, code and tools, and give you a permanent licence to use them as part of your site.

I may show the finished work, without private details, as an example of my work unless you ask me not to.

Monthly plans

Plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Update and Growth Plans have a 3-month minimum, then continue month to month until either of us gives 30 days' notice. Unused hours roll over one month, then expire.

If a plan ends, your site keeps working. I'll help you move hosting to your own account.

Made-to-order items

3D printed, engraved and milled items are made to your specification. Free pickup is in Frankston; free delivery covers the local area shown at checkout; everywhere else ships by AusPost at the quoted price.

Because items are personalised, I can't offer refunds for change of mind. If an item is faulty or not as described, you're entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Australian Consumer Law.

Cancelling

You can cancel a job at any time by email. The deposit covers work already done; if the work done is worth less than the deposit, I'll refund the difference.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, my liability for any job is limited to re-doing the work or refunding what you paid for it. I'm not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits. This doesn't exclude any guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

I'm not responsible for outages or changes at third-party services such as hosting providers, Stripe, Shopify or Google.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
